Join Amazon's Talent Solution’s Core Science and Engineering organization as a Senior Software Development Engineer at the forefront of talent evaluation and development for the world's most customer obsessed company. This highly visible role will shape the future of Amazon's talent using advanced machine learning and agentic AI technologies and by partnering directly with PXT (People Experience and Technology) and Amazon leadership to drive transformative initiatives, operational excellence, and strategic innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Build, experiment, and launch services embodying diverse scientific models, leveraging intricate distributed systems, handling and presenting Big Data, and applying advanced statistical methods.
  • Collaborate with economists, academic scholars, machine learning experts, and fellow developers throughout the company.
  • Own products ranging from Data Lakes to tools for science experimentation, MLOps, GenAIOps, and analytics to web applications and software solutions integrated with other Amazon systems.
  • Manage large volumes of data within an MLOps/GenAIOps framework, specializing in managing large volumes of data within an MLOps/GenAIOps framework.
  • Apply advanced statistical methods and machine learning principles to enhance LLM responses through methodologies like RAG, Prompt Engineering.
  • Construct scalable systems that streamline model deployment and GenAI application building.

Requirements

Desired expertise includes familiarity with Machine Learning lifecycle management, encompassing model training, validation, debugging tools, analysis techniques, and enhancing LLM responses through methodologies like RAG, Prompt Engineering. The perfect fit will possess robust software engineering fundamentals, adeptness in system architecture, a strong grasp of machine learning principles, and the capability to construct scalable systems that streamline model deployment and GenAI application building.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
