Senior Software Engineer, Ads Platform Frontend
About the role
Join the Microsoft Advertising Campaign UI team, which is responsible for the front-end web sites used by online advertisers to create and manage millions of ad campaigns. This team focuses on customer satisfaction and is building a new generation of Microsoft Ads UI and analytical platform. As a Software Engineer, you will develop world-class web UI experiences for our demand management platform, enable new Ads products for advertisers, and leverage cutting-edge AI technologies to modernize product development and improve engineering velocity.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with PMs, UX designers, and partner teams to design and develop features from concept to release and live operations.
- Drive quality and results in project execution, ensuring metrics are built to monitor feature impact.
- Integrate AI-powered product innovation into customer experiences and leverage AI-assisted development practices to improve engineering efficiency and product quality.
- Embrace new technologies and challenges with a growth mindset.
- Help foster a strong engineering culture within the team.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- Proficient in data-driven decision-making, with the ability to build metrics to analyze business impact.
- Experience with ReactJS and modern front-end development environments.
- Experience with data analysis and building metrics to measure business impact.
- Experience leveraging AI-powered development tools and modern engineering practices to improve developer productivity, accelerate product development, reduce time-to-market, and enhance software quality.
- Passion for applying AI-driven insights to build innovative customer experiences, simplify workflows, and deliver impactful business outcomes.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Pay
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. For specific work locations within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for additional benefits and compensation.
Schedule
Starting January 26, 2026, employees who live within a 50-mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or a 25-mile commute of a non-U.S. location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.
