Senior Software Engineer - Ads Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Ads Manager to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. This role will focus on building the backend systems that support advertising workflows, with an emphasis on campaign management, advertiser activation, and revenue growth. You will partner closely with product managers and engineers to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable technical solutions that improve reliability, observability, and developer efficiency. The position also includes mentoring peers, raising code quality, and helping strengthen team processes in a fast-moving consumer technology environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $168,000 – $177,500 annually Responsibilities Lead and deliver projects from design to launch to enhance advertiser activation and revenue Design, build, and operate scalable services and APIs for campaign management Partner with product managers and engineers to clarify ambiguous requirements Define architectural patterns and improve system observability and reliability Mentor junior engineers and elevate code quality through reviews Contribute to recruiting efforts and enhance team processes Qualifications 5+ years of professional software engineering experience Strong experience with backend services and APIs in Ruby on Rails or Go Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL, including data modeling Experience designing for scale and reliability in distributed systems Comfortable integrating with frontend applications Self-starter with strong analytical and debugging skills Clear communicator who collaborates well across teams Benefits Remote work flexibility Eligibility for new hire equity grants and annual refresh grants Highly competitive compensation and benefits package Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
