About the Company

Delinea is a pioneer in securing human and machine identities through intelligent, centralized authorization, empowering organizations to seamlessly govern their interactions across the modern enterprise. Leveraging AI-powered intelligence, Delinea’s leading cloud-native Identity Security Platform applies context throughout the entire identity lifecycle – across cloud and traditional infrastructure, data, SaaS applications, and AI. It is the only platform that enables you to discover all identities – including workforce, IT administrator, developers, and machines – assign appropriate access levels, detect irregularities, and respond to threats in real-time. With deployment in weeks, not months, 90% fewer resources to manage than the nearest competitor, and a 99.995% uptime, Delinea delivers robust security and operational efficiency without compromise.

Join our passionate, global team at Delinea and help us make the world a safer and more secure place. Our success is driven by world-class product leadership, outstanding engineers, and strategic investment from TPG. We value diversity, innovation, and a culture of respect and fairness.

About the Role

This position is on the Non-Human Identity (NHI) team, a key new area on the Delinea platform. You will help build the products that discover, govern, and secure machine identities: service accounts, secrets, workloads, and AI agents. These now outnumber human identities 46:1 in every enterprise. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will architect, develop, and deliver secure, scalable microservices using C# on .NET, running in Kubernetes on Microsoft Azure and backed by Azure Cosmos DB and RabbitMQ, while automating infrastructure with Terraform. This position plays a key role in strengthening Delinea’s identity and access management ecosystem through high-quality engineering practices and innovation. You will report to the team’s engineering manager.

Responsibilities

  • Architect the design and help develop, test and maintain secure microservices and distributed systems using C# .NET, ensuring alignment with Delinea’s cloud and security architecture standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize data access across Azure Cosmos DB and relational systems (Azure SQL), and implement caching and RabbitMQ-based event-driven workflows for internal and platform messaging.
  • Integrate with enterprise identity providers (Okta, Microsoft Entra ID/Graph) and internal identity and multi-tenancy services to support secure, tenant-aware access control.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for consistent provisioning and lifecycle management of Azure resources.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure, automated deployments using Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, and DevOps teams to define system roadmaps, ensuring compliance with security and privacy requirements.
  • Conduct code and design reviews, emphasizing performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Provide technical mentorship to engineering peers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software engineering with C# .NET and microservices architectures.
  • Proficiency designing, developing, and maintaining data access across NoSQL databases (Azure Cosmos DB or similar) and relational databases (e.g., Azure SQL), including schema design and query optimization.
  • Experience with event-driven, message-based systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Azure Service Bus) and distributed data consistency.
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes and container orchestration in a cloud environment.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for Azure Cloud.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, privileged access control, and policy-based authorization approaches (e.g., Cedar).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating with enterprise identity providers such as Okta or Microsoft Entra ID/Graph.
  • Knowledge of observability frameworks (Datadog, OpenTelemetry) for monitoring and diagnostics.
