Senior Software Development Engineer, GenAI, Ads Agentic Intelligence

Key job responsibilities

• Drive the engineering strategy and mentor team members
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver complex end-to-end AI solutions
• Architect and implement robust systems in ambiguous problem areas
• Guide less experienced sellers through campaign setup
• Surfacing optimization opportunities that unlock advertiser success
• Build consensus through thoughtful discussions with stakeholders
• Provide context for current and future technology choices
• Make strategic recommendations on system architecture and implementation approaches
• Strengthen Amazon's advertising ecosystem and help more advertisers thrive

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
• Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques
