About the Role

As a Senior Software Developer, you will work in our agile development environment to add new features, enhance current functionality, and fix bugs in our order management systems. This role centers around PHP/MySQL and involves interacting with other organizations, teams, and internal APIs within Sensaria/Circle Graphics. This position is based in our Morrisville, NC HQ (hybrid) and is open to remote candidates in the Eastern and Central time zones. Work sponsorship is not available at this time.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Agile environment to collaborate, analyze, design, develop, deploy, and support applications to meet business and technical needs and requirements.
• Write well-designed, testable code with containerized deployments and continuous integration testing approaches.
• Help break down, estimate, and provide just-in-time design for small increments of work.
• Provide direction and share knowledge with team members.
• Participate in weekly sprint cycles and keep stakeholders informed of progress using the issue management system.
• Support and enhance the day-to-day operations of applications and systems in collaboration with the e-commerce team.
• Collaborate with end-users to find innovative solutions to problems.
• Resolve critical production downtime issues.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university plus at least three years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

• PHP (8.x)
• An MVC framework such as Laminas/Zend, Laravel, or Symfony
• Familiarity with test-driven development; Unit and Integration Testing using PHPUnit/Pest/Cypress/Playwright
• Experience with software debuggers like XDebug
• Experience using AWS SQS, Eventbridge, and other distributed work queue systems
• Experience developing solutions in a cloud environment (AWS preferred), including ECS, Lambda, and infrastructure-as-code with Terraform
• Experience with Docker/containerization and CI/CD pipelines (Buildkite or similar) for automated builds and deployments
• Familiarity with Git
• RDBMS experience with query optimization with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL
• Familiarity with Monday/Linear for task management
• Experience working with distributed services and microservices
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks (Vue, TypeScript) for customer-facing experiences is a plus
• Comfortable with AI-assisted development (Claude Code/Codex)
• Adaptability and ability to pick up new techniques quickly
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Capable of presenting technical information clearly and concisely
• Ability to “multi-task” while reassessing priorities on a continual basis
