Senior Software Developer, Lexington

About the role

The Senior Software Developer plays a crucial role in supporting the Western World/Lexington businesses of AIG. They are responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of complex software applications that align with business needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide development support for various applications that support the Western World/Lexington businesses.
• Engage in end-user support, maintenance activities, vulnerability management, and service improvement planning.
• Coordinate resources and ensure clear planning for projects and deliverables.
• Work closely with other IT team contacts, the Operations Team, and project leaders to ensure projects are appropriately structured and developed according to standards.
• Support the end-to-end processing of business by integrating with other platforms.
• Ensure adherence to security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Facilitate collaboration and shared understanding with the wider IT group on direction and in-flight initiatives.
• Provide end-user support and ensure service levels are maintained, focusing on customer service and platform stability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
• 4+ years of experience in software development within the insurance industry.
• Proven technical proficiency in .Net, SQL Server, SSIS, JS, HTML, C#, Angular, TypeScript.
• Experience with Dev-Ops practices and tools.
• Clear and confident communicator with the ability to challenge and influence change at a strategic level.
• Excellent experience with the development of software using a variety of frameworks, developing and consuming APIs, building robust and scalable applications in a complex environment.
• Team player with the ability to work effectively in challenging and complex environments.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to understand complex concepts.
• Customer-focused with a desire to deliver excellent customer service to business stakeholders.
• Detailed level of understanding of Cloud platforms.

Pay

The base salary range for this position in Parsippany or Jersey City, NJ, is $86,000 - $106,000. The position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
