Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance scalable, high-performance Java applications.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new application features and system enhancements.
  • Develop server-side and user-interface functionality using Java Servlets, JSP, JavaScript, and ExtJS.
  • Develop and consume SOAP and REST web services to integrate applications, systems, and manufacturing components.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, upgrade, and optimize existing applications to improve performance, reliability, and security.
  • Lead, mentor, and provide technical direction to offshore development resources.
  • Coordinate offshore development activities to ensure alignment with project objectives, technical requirements, and delivery schedules.
  • Develop SQL queries and stored procedures and optimize application interactions with Oracle 19c databases.
  • Participate in technical design reviews and application architecture discussions.
  • Use version control and configuration-management tools to maintain source code and support software releases.
  • Build and deploy applications using Jenkins and Tomcat.
  • Provide on-site application support for manufacturing and fabrication operations as required.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Five or more years of professional Java development experience.
  • Previous experience supporting manufacturing, semiconductor fabrication, or similar production environments.
  • Extensive experience with Java Servlets and JSP for server-side and user-interface development.
  • Strong JavaScript development experience.
  • Experience using the ExtJS framework.
  • Experience developing and consuming SOAP and REST web services.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of the Model-View-Controller architectural pattern.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle 19c, including SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Experience deploying and configuring applications on Apache Tomcat.
  • Experience using Jenkins for application builds, deployment, and release management.
  • Experience with version-control systems such as Git, Bitbucket, SVN, or Perforce.
  • Proficiency with Eclipse IDE, including creating and managing separate development workspaces.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical leadership abilities.
  • Able to work effectively with local and offshore development teams.
  • Able to work on-site in the Sunnyvale or San Jose area as needed.
