Senior Software Developer - Data Ingestion

About the Role

As a Sr. Software Engineer on Redfin’s Data Integrity and Management team, you will work on the data ingestion platform to create new pipelines and tooling that keep Redfin’s inventory updated faster and with higher quality than competitors. You will build products and tools that drive critical metrics and impact revenue growth, working with spatial and shape data, integrating latitude/longitude data, and developing large‑scale applications backed by relational and non‑relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines that ingest MLS, property, school, climate, and other inventory data.
• Develop tooling to monitor, maintain, and update essential data sets.
• Work with spatial and shape files, integrating lat/long data.
• Build large‑scale applications using both relational (Postgres, SQL) and non‑relational databases.
• Architect and implement solutions for complex challenges faced by partner teams.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to support production systems and ensure service reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing full‑stack data ingestion platforms.
• Proven experience building large‑scale applications backed by relational and non‑relational databases.
• Demonstrated ability to design, architect, and implement complex data solutions.
• Strong mentorship and leadership skills; ability to teach and improve other developers.

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $166,900 – $203,900, with eligibility for an annual bonus, incentives, and the benefits listed above.

Schedule

This role may include participation in an on‑call rotation to support production systems, with coverage potentially required during nights and weekends. Frequency and scheduling will be determined by team needs and communicated accordingly.
