Senior Software Developer

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of software engineering and architecture principles to design, develop, debug, and enhance backend services, APIs, and server-side components that support distributed cloud systems.
• Work within existing software architectures to build and improve scalable, reliable backend applications or operating systems, and suggest incremental architectural improvements in alignment with provided design specifications.
• Perform moderately complex problem-solving with guidance, applying company policies, tools, and processes to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Develop software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging, or designing of software applications or operating systems.
• Provide technical leadership to other software developers.
• Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with software development or programming
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Knowledge of distributed system fundamentals, object-oriented design, data structures, & algorithm design, etc.
• Proficient with at least one object-oriented coding language such as Java, C++, C#, Go, etc.
• Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership, and drive.
• Experienced in building highly available and scalable distributed services.
• Experienced with microservice design patterns.
