Senior Software Configuration Management Engineer

About the role

Responsible for managing software configuration processes to ensure consistency and integrity across all development environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain configuration management practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce configuration management policies and procedures
• Implement and manage version control systems
• Coordinate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and consistent software configurations
• Provide guidance and support in resolving configuration issues
• Monitor and report on configuration status and trends

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software configuration management
• Experience with Git and other version control systems
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery tools
• Experience with cloud-based configuration management tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
