About the role

This position involves implementing Fabric's Medallion architecture, working with Azure Active Directory (AAD) for security, and delivering access control for analytics/Power BI environments using row-level security. Responsibilities include converting Argos reporting platform to Power BI, architecting and securing Azure data lakes, and managing the campus data warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a Senior Data Analyst to convert Argos reporting platform to Power BI
  • Arcitect and secure Azure data lakes for Power BI reporting
  • Use Github for deployment and version control
  • Lead analysis and problem-solving efforts
  • Create new and modify existing database objects, analyze queries, and perform tuning
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to other staff members
  • Assist in setting direction for the growth and maintenance of the campus data warehouse
  • Create procedures for loading data from enterprise systems into the campus data warehouse
  • Create packages, stored procedures, tables, views, etc. to extract, transfer, and load data into the campus data warehouse, Power BI, and data marts from Oracle and SQL Server
  • Design/Develop new programs/subsystems as directed by management within the parameters of UT standards and OIT group standards

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications: Associate’s degree with 10 years of Application Development experience
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of Application Development experience, Master’s degree with 6 years of Application Development experience, Doctoral degree with 4 years of Application Development experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Higher Education experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, Power BI Platform, Excel, Word, Outlook, Sharepoint, etc., Significant knowledge of relational databases, Ability to create packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, tables, views, etc., Ability to analyze business requirements and systems to design effective automated solutions, Ability to work independently, within a team and/or as an effective team lead to achieve results and meet deadlines, Ability to apply effective oral and written skills to communicate with user and technical audiences, Strong development skills and ability to reverse engineer source code, Ability to mentor and support lower-level employees

Compensation and Benefits

UT market range: MR16 Anticipated hiring range: $90,000 - $106,000
