Join an interdisciplinary team as a Dialysis Social Worker, dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to improve the lives of dialysis patients. Responsibilities include: Applying advanced social work knowledge and skills, including psychosocial assessments and response to abuse, neglect, or violence in accordance with ethical standards and legal requirements.Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans and support emotional, mental, and social needs of patients and their families.Providing specialized counseling, addressing social, emotional, and economic concerns, and working across diverse age groups including neonatal to geriatric populations.Utilizing age-appropriate care protocols and understanding the impact of illness on patients and families.Possibly diagnosing patients, if licensed, and offering brief therapy to manage psychosocial and economic challenges. Qualifications include: Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.Licensed in good standing as a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the practicing state.Healthcare or mental health hospital experience preferred. Skills and key attributes: Expert critical thinking and psychosocial assessment capabilities.Strong teamwork and independent work skills.Understanding of the effects of illness on patients and ability to provide supportive therapy.
