Senior Snowflake Developer

About the role

At EXL, we are driving large-scale data modernization, cloud transformation, and AI initiatives for leading healthcare organizations across the United States. We are building a high-performing Data & AI Engineering team to develop modern data platforms, advanced analytics solutions, and AI-powered applications leveraging Snowflake and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions on Snowflake.
• Build and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines for large-scale healthcare and enterprise datasets.
• Develop Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, materialized views, stored procedures, tasks, streams, and Snowpipe solutions.
• Implement data ingestion frameworks for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Develop reusable and scalable data engineering frameworks.
• Design enterprise data models including dimensional and analytical models.
• Build AI-powered data applications using Snowflake Cortex and Cortex AI.
• Develop solutions leveraging Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, and Snowflake Document AI.
• Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using enterprise data stored in Snowflake.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI capabilities into business workflows.
• Develop AI/ML applications using Snowpark Python.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers and Data Scientists to deploy intelligent data products.
• Build and maintain cloud-native data solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop modern data integration solutions.
• Implement real-time and batch data processing frameworks.
• Support enterprise data lake, lakehouse, and modern data platform initiatives.
• Optimize Snowflake workloads for performance and scalability.
• Implement efficient warehouse sizing strategies and workload management.
• Tune SQL queries and transformations.
• Monitor Snowflake usage and recommend cost optimization opportunities.
• Implement RBAC, row-level security, masking policies, and secure data-sharing practices.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare data governance requirements.
• Support metadata management, data lineage, and data quality initiatives.
• Partner with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and engineering teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
