Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Technical Leader to join an established cloud technology organization for a full-time remote position. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Technical Leader will lead the development and reliability of secure Kubernetes-based platforms supporting highly regulated environments while driving automation, scalability, and operational excellence. Responsibilities for the Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Technical Leader include: Lead the architecture, deployment, and support of enterprise Kubernetes environments handling critical workloads. Establish reliability standards through SLOs, SLIs, monitoring strategies, and proactive system improvements. Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes to streamline software delivery. Collaborate with security and compliance teams to maintain adherence to government and industry regulatory standards. Participate in incident management, on-call support, root cause investigations, and ongoing platform enhancements. Qualifications for the Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Technical Leader include: 10+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles. Strong expertise managing production Kubernetes environments, including EKS, AKS, GKE, or similar platforms. Experience supporting highly regulated cloud environments, including FedRAMP High, DoD IL5, or related frameworks. Hands-on knowledge of Terraform, cloud infrastructure, Linux systems, networking, and automation scripting with Python or Go. Experience with observability tools, CI/CD platforms, and compliance standards such as NIST 800-53, STIGs, or RMF. Compensation for the Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Technical Leader: Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, sick leave if required by law, and 401K This job opens for applications on 9/4/26.
