Senior Site Quality Specialist

About the role

The Site Quality Specialist (SQS) executes daily on-site Quality Control (QC) inspection, surveillance, and testing oversight for the RSW Fuel Receipt & Storage Upgrades design-build project. Reporting to the Construction Quality Manager, the SQS implements and enforces the project Construction Quality Plan (CQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring full compliance with contract drawings, technical specifications, airport authority requirements (LCPA), and industry codes across all civil, structural, tank erection, piping, and E&I installations. Scope of work includes aviation fuel storage (erection of two 25,000‑barrel aboveground vertical tanks per API 650, deep foundations, secondary containment, and containment storm drainage) and truck offload (new 2‑position truck offload rack, process pumping/piping per ASME B31.3, metering, containment, and tie‑ins to existing facility controls and fire systems).

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce the project Construction Quality Plan (CQP), work instructions, and discipline‑specific ITP witness/hold points.
• Perform daily field surveillance and verification for civil/earthwork, deep foundations, tank fit‑up and welding, hydrostatic testing, process piping, coatings (DFT/holiday), and E&I.
• Monitor and coordinate third‑party testing agencies (geotechnical, concrete cylinder breaks, NDE/NDT examination).
• Identify nonconforming conditions; generate, log, and verify closure of Condition (nonconformance) Reports (CRs) and corrective actions in coordination with project engineering.
• Review and approve WPS/PQR/WPQ Certs, perform Wellness Checks encompassing critical to quality programmatic categories (e.g., Material Receipt and Management, M&TE, Document Management, Special Processes, etc.).
• Compile and validate daily inspection reports, weld maps, NDE logs, hydro packages, and as‑built records for turnover documentation.
