Senior Site EHS Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon Safety Policies.
• Measure site performance against published requirements in safety policies.
• Identify and implement plans to address deficiencies in safety policies.
• Ensure safety record keeping and data integrity.
• Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations.
• Deep dive into safety metrics and review incident trends.
• Audit record keeping practices and Global Safety Database entries.
• Audit workplace organization and associate behaviors.
• Manage and mentor the Safety Managers and Safety Associates in your assigned site.
• Engage Injury Prevention Specialists and Site Leadership to drive long-term strategic actions.
• Perform targeted Kaizen events based on identified risks.
• Ensure site leadership and associates are trained on safety policies.
• Review and revise deployed safety tools for continual improvement.
• Partner with corporate and regional field safety personnel to implement best practices.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid Certification, or willingness to obtain it within 3 weeks of start date.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations, or relevant experience.
• 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management.
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
