Senior Simulation Vehicle Modeling Engineer

This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-fidelity vehicle dynamics models for simulation
• Create scalable simulation platforms for autonomous driving software validation
• Collaborate with autonomy teams to define vehicle model requirements
• Communicate model capabilities and limitations for effective validation
• Prevent regressions in V&V performance through automated testing frameworks
• Conduct root cause analysis for issues during simulation and testing
• Design test plans for field data collection to improve vehicle models

Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with appropriate experience
• Proficiency in C++ and Python along with ROS/ROS2 and Linux
• Expertise in physics-based modeling of vehicles including dynamics and powertrains
• Familiarity with autonomous vehicle stack architecture, including planning and controls
• Experience with automated validation pipelines and simulation-based performance testing
• Strong collaboration skills to communicate model capabilities to engineering teams
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead technical direction in the domain

Pay

$160,800 – $193,000 annually
