At RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, you’ll join a high-performing team of engineers working with high-fidelity missile simulations to construct decision support systems used by the warfighter. In the Airborne Kill Chain AI/ML Section of the Operations and Mission Analysis Department, you will analyze complex threats and help define new capabilities through operational modeling and simulation using purpose-built software.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, and/or utilization of high-fidelity digital simulation software in advanced technical computing environments.
  • Contribute to trade studies assessing system performance of weapons against a variety of threats in kill-chain scenarios.
  • Apply performance-engineering practices to evaluate computational problems and answer questions such as next system improvements, missile effectiveness against single or multiple threats, and countermeasures to increase effectivity or survivability.
  • Collaborate in a team environment, receiving input from programs, external customers, and subject-matter experts to determine, develop, and implement analytic approaches that generate data to inform programmatic decisions.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of model-based solutions for decision support systems, including validation and testing of models, software components, and integrated systems.
  • Occasional travel (<10%) to support customers or programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five years of prior relevant experience.
