Senior Shipper & Receiver - 3rd shift

About the role

JELD-WEN is seeking motivated, safety-focused individuals to join our Shipping & Receiving team in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

Responsibilities

- Accurately load, unload, scan, verify, and secure windows, patio doors, glass, screens, and related products for shipment. - Track inventory, verify shipping information, maintain proper loading sequences, and secure products to prevent damage during transportation. - Follow established quality standards, perform visual inspections, identify and report product concerns. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. - Work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Requirements

- Ability to work safely while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). - Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow shipping procedures and quality standards. - Capability to frequently lift over 50 lbs, move, stack, secure, and handle windows, doors, glass, screens, and other materials. - Basic computer and scanning device operation. - Effective communication skills. - Dependability. - Commitment to safety, quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- Prior manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, receiving, material handling, or forklift experience.

Skills

- Safety awareness. - Quality control. - Inventory management. - Forklift operation (training provided where applicable).
