Senior Shipboard Technician (Non POR)

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert for issues that arise on Windows‑based enterprise networks.
• Respond to and update trouble calls using the NESD ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot and analyze issues to determine and execute appropriate repair activities that will return equipment, system, or network to proper operational status.
• Lead or serve as a member of a team to conduct new installations and/or life‑cycle upgrades for shipboard IT networks.
• Work with shipboard personnel and/or other network support vendors to resolve computer network issues.
• Prepare and submit daily work reports.
• Respond to queries for ad‑hoc data and network configuration and inventory reports.
• Cross‑train in different shipboard class IT systems as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Secret clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ (SEC+) or equivalent certification.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lb.
• Employees must provide their own personal protective equipment (hard hat, reflective safety vest) for shipyard work.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this role is $78,000 to $82,000 annually. Final starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, certifications, work location, internal equity, and market considerations.
