Senior Shipboard Technician (Non POR)

About the role

This on-site position supports Navy Bases, Naval Shipyards, and ships in Chesapeake, VA. Travel—both domestic and international—is required. There are no remote or hybrid opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject-matter expert for Windows-based enterprise network issues
• Respond to and update trouble calls in the NESD ticketing system
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, systems, or networks to restore operational status
• Lead or participate in new installations and life-cycle upgrades for shipboard IT networks
• Collaborate with shipboard personnel and other vendors to resolve network issues
• Prepare and submit daily work reports
• Provide ad-hoc data, network configuration, and inventory reports
• Cross-train in different shipboard-class IT systems

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active Secret clearance
• SEC+ or equivalent certification
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Must provide own PPE (hard hat, reflective safety vest) for shipyard work
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this role is $78,000 to $82,000 annually. Final salary will be based on qualifications, experience, certifications, location, internal equity, and market factors.
