Responsibilities
- Lead multiple vessel repair and dry dock projects from planning through completion.
- Serve as the primary liaison for customers, government representatives, and project stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
- Cookordinate production, engineering, planning, purchasing, quality, safety, and subcontractor activities.
- Monitor project progress, financial performance, and profitability while implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Manage contract administration, change orders, customer communications, and project documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with contractual requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, including Project Managers, Coordinators, and Superintendents.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement throughout project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Project Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in shipyard, ship repair, maritime operations, or industrial project management.
- Demonstrated success managing complex vessel repair or dry dock projects from award through closeout.
- Experience overseeing commercial, government, or military ship repair contracts.
- Strong knowledge of project budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, cost control, and financial management.
- Understanding of shipyard production, planning, estimating, subcontractor management, and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with maritime industry standards and regulatory requirements, including NAVSEA, MSC, MARAD, USCG, OSHA, or similar organizations, is preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and ERP or project management software.
- Ability to work in an active shipyard environment, including boarding vessels, accessing dry docks, climbing ladders, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Pay
USD150000 - USD200000 per annum
