Senior Security Technician

About the role

The Security Specialist at Thresholds plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of clients, property, and assets. This position requires a strong background in security systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain consistent security baseline standards for Thresholds facilities, by facility type, in line with industry standards.
• Install (in tandem with vendors), configure, and maintain security systems such as alarms, CCTV cameras, and access control devices.
• Respond to service calls, diagnose issues, and perform necessary repairs/troubleshooting to restore system functionality.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, maintenance activities, and incident reports.
• Retrieve and secure video footage or access logs for investigations in compliance with HIPAA and agency policies.
• Travel to various sites as needed to provide technical support and ensure security standards are met.

Qualifications

• Current and valid driver’s license is required.
• Daily access to a personal vehicle is required.
• Must obtain and maintain $100,000/$300,000/$100,000 bodily injury and liability insurance.
• Subject to validation every six months.
• Manufacturer certifications in security systems.
• Familiarity with OSHA and HIPAA compliance requirements.
