Senior Security Specialist with Security Clearance

About the role

The Security Manager supports the C3I&N Directorate at Hanscom AFB, MA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.
• Recommend and implement policies and procedures for analyzing and evaluating the character, background, and history of employees, candidates for employment, and other personas having or proposed to be granted access to classified or other sensitive information, materials, or work sites.
• Provide security support to assigned controlled facilities, including:
• Exercising delegated access control to secure areas
• Aiding in opening and closing controlled areas
• Aiding in arming and disarming facility alarm systems as required
• Aiding in accomplishing end of day security checks
• Knowledgeable of DD security procedures, including classified transmission, protection of incoming mail, courier requirements, security incident reporting, and security violation sanctions.

Requirements

• Secret clearance required.
• 5 days work onsite.
• Ability to work independently and apply proper procedures and processes related to assigned tasks.
• Strong communication skills to build relationships with supported customers.
• Experience with SharePoint, including managing, uploading, and editing program data and files.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Recommended Education/Experience: BA/BS, 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, of which 3 years must be in the DoD.

Pay

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000
