Senior Security Operations Analyst

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Security Operations Analyst to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will focus on strengthening the organization's security operations through advanced investigations, detection engineering, and incident response support. The analyst will work closely with SOC teammates, system owners, and other stakeholders to improve visibility, speed response, and reduce operational risk. In addition, this position will help refine processes, metrics, and documentation to drive continuous improvement across the security function. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually Responsibilities Lead complex investigations across multiple telemetry sources to determine impact and root cause Optimize the use of security platforms and tools, including SIEM and cloud security solutions Develop and fine-tune queries, detections, and SOC playbooks to improve security operations Manage key SOC metrics and drive continuous improvements in alert handling and response times Enhance incident handling procedures and documentation to streamline SOC operations Collaborate with system owners to prioritize vulnerabilities based on business impact Use AI tools to improve efficiency in threat detection and response processes Qualifications 5+ years of security experience, including 3+ years in an enterprise SOC or incident response role Proven ability to handle complex or high-severity investigations from start to finish Strong hands-on experience with SIEM tools, including query development and dashboard creation Experience improving SOC processes and using metrics to drive operational enhancements Familiarity with cloud security, EDR, identity management, and email security Benefits Remote work flexibility in the United States Opportunities for professional development and mentorship within the SOC team Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
