Senior Security Engineer, Incident Response

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Security Engineer Detection And Response to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. You’ll build and maintain systems that power mission-critical Information Technology workflows. You’ll collaborate with product and peers to design clean, scalable solutions. This role values craftsmanship, impact, and ownership. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $156,000 – $210,000 annually. Responsibilities Design and improve threat detections across company's infrastructure and tools Lead security incident response, from investigation to post-incident analysis Utilize threat intelligence and attacker techniques for detection and response prioritization Collaborate with teams to enhance security visibility and logging quality Automate detection workflows to improve process reliability Manage end-to-end security projects in line with Detection Response initiatives Support high-severity incidents as part of on-call rotation Qualifications 5+ years in security technical engineering, with 3+ years in security operations or incident response Experience with detection engineering, automation, SIEMs, SOAR, and Detection-as-Code workflows Strong understanding of modern attacker techniques in cloud-native and SaaS environments Hands-on experience with endpoint, runtime, and forensic tools across various operating systems Knowledge of cloud security best practices (e.g., AWS, GCP) Proficiency in scripting and infrastructure tools (Python, Bash, Terraform) Excellent communication skills for conveying complex security matters Benefits Competitive health benefits including maternity and parental leave top-up Generous paid time off policy Equity grants and retirement matching programs Paid volunteer days to encourage community engagement Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
