About the role
Play a key role in operationalizing and scaling the organization’s data security program.
- Manage and improve data discovery, classification, and protection capabilities
- Tune controls, validate effectiveness, and ensure alignment with enterprise governance, risk, and compliance expectations
- Operate with independence, partner with stakeholders, and contribute to reducing data exposure risk
- Own day-to-day operation of data security platforms and perform onboarding of new data sources
- Identify overexposed, misclassified, or unprotected sensitive data and drive remediation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Systems
- 3+ years of experience in data security, cybersecurity, or a related domain
- Hands-on experience with at least one data security platform (e.g., BigID, Varonis, Spirion) OR a DLP solution (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Forcepoint, Symantec)
- Strong understanding of data classification, governance principles, and data protection techniques (DLP, encryption, tokenization)
- Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS) and enterprise IT environments (cloud, endpoint, SaaS)
- Experience with Linux and Kubernetes environments
