Responsibilities
- Design and implement security solutions for all CHAS information technology systems and applications.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, monitoring, and maintenance of in-place security solutions.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve security-related events detected by security systems or other audits.
- Supervise, train, and develop IT security staff, fostering teamwork and engagement.
- Create and maintain security policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures.
- Conduct vulnerability audits and assessments.
- Align security goals with organizational objectives and regulatory obligations, collaborating with the CHAS compliance department.
- Escalate unresolved issues to vendor support.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and cross-training of IT staff on security technologies at a Tier III level.
- Proactively recommend solutions and process improvements for network security, infrastructure, and performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field or equivalent work experience (preferred).
- CISSP, GIAC, or other industry-recognized IT security certifications (preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with progressive levels of responsibility in IT security.
- Proven experience creating and leading a robust IT security program based on industry best practices and enterprise risk frameworks.
- Experience with health information technologies and HIPAA compliance (preferred).
- Excellent technical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, contribute to a team, and maintain a positive attitude with a commitment to quality.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance.

Physical Demands
- Stand, sit, or be mobile up to one-third of the time.
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects over two-thirds of the time; reach with hands and arms one-third of the day.

- Communicate constantly throughout the day.
- Lift up to 10 lbs. about half the time, 25-40 lbs. less than one-third of the time, and rarely lift more than 40 lbs.

Pay
Compensation range: $96,600.00 - $146,116.00.
