What You Will Do
- Cook up efforts to ensure that environmental justice and the requirements of the HEAL act (SB 5141) are integrated throughout section projects.
- Facilitate consultation and engagement with external stakeholders early and often throughout the policy development process.
- Lead the development of complex guidance documents regarding major new initiatives or major modifications to policy and program needs, working closely with technical staff and program management.
- Develop outreach strategies and materials.
- Lead involvement for internal and external training efforts related to environmental justice.
- Coach and mentor other planners and project managers regarding best practices for developing and rolling out key rule and policy initiatives.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in environmental science, public policy, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in environmental planning, policy development, or a related field.
- Experience with environmental justice principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to develop and implement complex policies and procedures.

Pay
$86,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience.
