Senior Scientist, Vaccines Analytical Research & Development

About the role

The Senior Vaccine Analytical Research & Development Scientist plays a crucial role in our mission to discover and develop vaccines. This role focuses on analytical problem-solving, method development, and project management within the context of vaccine research and development.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex analytical problems using advanced separation science techniques (HPLC, CE, LC-MS, etc.)
• Develop and validate analytical methods for vaccine components and formulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support vaccine process development and characterization
• Evaluate new technologies and contribute to innovation within the industry
• Prepare technical documents for regulatory submissions
• Document experimental procedures, results, and conclusions following ALCOA principles

Requirements

• Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, chemistry, biochemistry, biomedical engineering or related field, or Master's degree with 4+ years of industry experience
• Extensive experience with chromatography and separation science techniques
• Proven track record of developing and validating analytical methods
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
• Knowledge of protein chemistry, structural biology, and biochemistry
• Experience with automated laboratory instrumentation and data analysis
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and standards
