Senior Scientist | $70/hr Remote

Chemistry Expert (PhD) Remote

Contribute to the safety and reliability of advanced language models across specialized chemistry domains.

• Author expert-level chemistry prompts spanning organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, medicinal, computational, and related disciplines.
• Evaluate model outputs for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content.

Flexible remote engagement with the ability to scale up to 40 hours per week based on availability. Immediate start with ongoing project opportunities based on project needs and performance.

Independent contractor engagement with weekly payments via Stripe or Wise. No prior model evaluation experience required; training provided on workflows and guidelines.

Requirements:

• Hold or be pursuing a PhD in Chemistry or a closely related discipline such as Chemical Engineering or Materials Science.
• Create high-quality prompts and technical scenarios across specialized chemistry topics.
• Review, annotate, and assess model responses for scientific correctness and quality.
• Exercise sound judgment regarding chemical safety, hazardous materials, synthesis, and dual-use information.
• Bring experience with laboratory, computational, research, review, grading, or technical content evaluation workflows.

Qualifications:

• Strong scientific reasoning, technical writing, and communication skills in English.

Skills:

• Expert-level knowledge in organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, medicinal, computational, and related disciplines of chemistry.

Pay: $65-$70/hr
