Senior Scientific Director (Virology)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Scientific Director (Virology) to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will lead scientific content strategy and account support for a portfolio of client relationships within a promotional medical education environment. The Senior Scientific Director will partner closely with client services and cross-functional teams to shape brand planning, manage resources, and ensure scientific content aligns with business goals. This position also supports growth by identifying new opportunities within existing accounts while contributing strong medical editorial and strategic insight. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually Responsibilities Lead assigned accounts and manage client interactions Develop and execute brand strategy for scientific content Oversee the scientific aspects of brand planning and business development Manage resource allocation effectively across accounts Collaborate with client services to create statements of work and timelines Identify opportunities for new and organic growth within accounts Qualifications Advanced degree in a scientific field required 10+ years of experience in promotional medical education content Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to analyze and interpret scientific data effectively Familiarity with professional medical editorial processes and ethical guidelines Oncology experience required; HIV or virology experience preferred Benefits Opportunity to work across various therapeutic areas Engagement in high-level strategic planning and client interactions Chance to lead and influence scientific content development Collaborative work environment with client services teams Potential for professional growth in a dynamic field Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
