Senior Scientific Director (Rare Disease)

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Scientific Director (rare Disease) to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will shape brand and customer engagement initiatives that strengthen market presence and business impact. You will collaborate with analytics, product, creative, and commercial teams to turn market insights into scalable campaigns, testing strategies, and performance improvements. The position offers the opportunity to directly influence customer engagement, conversion performance, and revenue growth within a Media environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned accounts with a focus on client interactions
• Oversee brand strategy development and execution
• Drive the scientific components of brand planning and business development
• Manage resource allocation effectively across projects
• Collaborate with client services to create Statements of Work (SOWs) and timelines
• Identify opportunities for new and organic growth

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in science required
• 8-10 years of experience in promotional medical education content
• Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills
• Proficiency in scientific data analysis and interpersonal communication
• Familiarity with professional medical editorial processes and ethical guidelines
• Experience in rare diseases is mandatory; nephrology experience preferred

Pay & Schedule

Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $130,000 – $180,000 annually
