Senior Scientific Director - Publications (Heme-Onc)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Scientific Director - Publications (Heme-Onc) to join the team of a leader in the Media space. This role will drive scientific publications strategy and content development across hematology and oncology programs, partnering closely with internal leadership and external contributors. The position will oversee execution of complex medical communications deliverables, guide junior team members, and ensure scientific accuracy, quality, and compliance throughout the publication process. It is a hands-on leadership opportunity with exposure to multiple client accounts and a variety of therapeutic areas. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually Responsibilities Collaborate with scientific leadership to develop strategic medical communication recommendations Lead execution of content development activities independently Supervise Associate Scientific Directors and manage their tasks Liaise with in-house and freelance staff for writing and content-related tasks Conduct background research, data-checking, and reference annotation Qualifications Advanced degree in science (PhD, PharmD, or MD) required; CMPP preferred 5+ years of experience in medical publications including manuscripts and presentations Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to analyze and interpret scientific data effectively Familiarity with medical editorial processes and ethical guidelines, such as AMA style and ICMJE Benefits Remote work option or work from headquarters in Stamford, CT Opportunity to lead and mentor a team of Associate Scientific Directors Engagement with diverse therapeutic areas and target audiences Involvement in strategic decision-making for client accounts Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
