The Senior Scientific Associate - Healthcare Marketing Agency role is offered by a partner company managing all applications and next steps. This position involves transforming complex scientific information into impactful healthcare communications that support better access to innovative treatments. Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as a scientific and medical content expert, supporting healthcare communication projects from strategy development through final delivery.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to create accurate, engaging, and strategically aligned materials across various therapeutic areas.
- Acting as the medical point of contact for assigned client accounts and providing scientific guidance throughout projects.
- Researching, writing, editing, and translating complex scientific and clinical information for diverse healthcare audiences.
- Developing strategic medical content including slide presentations, advisory board materials, strategy guides, monographs, discussion guides, and training resources.
- Partnering with account teams to align content with client objectives, strategic priorities, and communication goals.
- Presenting and discussing medical content with internal teams and clients when needed.
- Participating in medical, legal, and regulatory review processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Contributing to project planning, kickoff meetings, status updates, client discussions, and internal brainstorming sessions.
- Mentoring and supporting junior-level writers by sharing expertise and best practices.
Requirements
- An advanced scientific qualification such as PharmD, PhD, or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience in medical communications, healthcare agencies, medical education, life sciences, or a related field.
- A strong ability to interpret and simplify complex scientific concepts for managed care and healthcare audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong research skills and interest in staying current with medical, scientific, and healthcare trends.
- The ability to develop strategic medical content and provide meaningful scientific insights.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional project teams.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced client-focused environment.
- A willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
- The ability to work standard Central Time Zone business hours.
