Senior Scheduler I
Summary
Mortenson is seeking a Senior Scheduler I for their Data Center Solutions Group. The role requires interaction with various staff and involves overseeing planning and scheduling activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of all planning and scheduling activities
- Plan, coordinate, supervise, and direct planning and scheduling activities
- Ensure corporate planning and schedule standards are implemented and that all project-related activities comply
- Oversee and supervise scheduling team
- Coach, mentor, and train field personnel, forepersons, and assistant superintendents
- Establish and nurture a teamwork environment
- Provide work direction and performance evaluations
- Identify hiring needs and participate in hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions if needed
- Develop leadership potential through appropriate task assignments and career growth opportunities
- Implement Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety Program at the project site
- Manage open shop and union issues
- Manage site work and logistics efficiently, providing suggestions for improvement
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field
- Minimum of four years construction experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Experience as a project engineer is desirable
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Active listening skills and effective communication, open to diverse input and feedback
- Thorough knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software
- Thorough knowledge of standard construction practices and project sequencing
- Strong plan and specification reading, review, and interpretation skills
- Basic knowledge of project management, contracts, and buyout
- Working knowledge of 4D visual planning methodologies
- Strong organization and team skills
- Basic knowledge of cost and resource loaded schedules
- Basic knowledge of claims avoidance and resolution techniques
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with initiative to seek innovative solutions

Pay
The base pay range for this role is $102,000 - $137,000. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
Schedule
This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
