Senior SAP Datasphere Consultant - Santa Clara, CA

Overview

We are seeking a Senior SAP Datasphere consultant to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our modern data and analytics platform on SAP Datasphere (part of SAP Business Data Cloud). You will define the enterprise data architecture, drive integration strategies across SAP and non-SAP systems, and enable scalable, self-service analytics for business users.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of the data and analytics platform on SAP Datasphere
• Define enterprise data architecture and drive integration strategies across SAP and non-SAP systems
• Enable scalable, self-service analytics for business users
• Work with the Business and IT to align data solutions with organizational needs
• Design logical and physical data models (spaces, semantic views, calculation views, CDS views) that are efficient, maintainable, and reusable across the organization
• Integrate SAP Datasphere with SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, HANA, and external platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, GCP) to enable hybrid architectures and advanced analytics
• Partner with analytics teams to enable SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and other tools on Datasphere data models; ensure consistent metric definitions and reporting standards
• Document designs, data flows, and mappings
• Implement access controls, authentication, authorization, and compliance with privacy/regulatory requirements; manage roles, spaces, and data sharing policies

Requirements

• 15+ years of hands-on SAP data development experience
• 2+ years' experience with the design, development and configuration of SAP Datasphere
• Strong data modelling, ETL/ELT, and SQL skills
• Familiarity with SQL Server, Snowflake, SAP HANA, BW
• Knowledge of SAP BTP services, connectivity, and hybrid integration (ODP, SDI, connectors)
• Experience with semantic modelling, data lineage, data virtualization, and analytics tools (SAC, Power BI)
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance
• Ability to work effectively with both Business and IT stakeholders
