The Opportunity The Senior Developer, Sales Technology is a hands-on software engineer responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting Salesforce.com capabilities for the GB360 Service scaled delivery team. The role focuses on Service Cloud, case management, Book of Business, service workflow, user migration context, service fast-follows, and sales-service collaboration, with integrations across enterprise data, content, workflow, underwriting, pricing, analytics, and AI-enabled productivity capabilities. This role partners with Product Owners, Functional Analysts, Architects, QA, DevSecOps, vendors, and business stakeholders to translate service outcomes into secure, scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions. The developer is expected to use approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve design, coding, testing, documentation, and release readiness while following Salesforce platform guardrails and enterprise delivery standards. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and support Salesforce-based GB360 Service capabilities using Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, Flows, declarative configuration, APIs, and platform automation as appropriate. Build and maintain Service Cloud and case-management capabilities that support service workflows, Book of Business needs, service productivity, queue/assignment logic, user experience, reporting, and operational handoffs. Partner with Product Owners, Functional Analysts, Solution Architects, QA, DevSecOps, and vendor partners to translate GB360 Service business needs into technical stories, estimates, design options, and implementation plans. Apply configuration-first thinking where appropriate to minimize unnecessary customization while ensuring approved custom development is secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned to Salesforce platform limits. Design and support integrations connecting GB360 Service with enterprise platforms such as Data Hubs, Seismic, underwriting, pricing, MetIQ, workflow systems, analytics, and related Sales Technology ecosystem components. Participate in SAFe and Agile routines including PI Planning, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, dependency discussions, release planning, and production readiness reviews. Use approved AI-assisted development tools to accelerate technical analysis, code generation, test design, documentation, defect analysis, and release preparation while maintaining human review and secure development discipline. Perform peer reviews of Salesforce code, configuration, design artifacts, test approaches, deployment plans, and release materials to support quality and maintainability. Develop and execute unit tests, support automated testing, assist with system/integration testing and UAT, and partner on defect triage and release go/no-go decisions. Investigate and resolve production incidents, Salesforce defects, integration failures, performance concerns, security/permission issues, and technical debt for GB360 Service capabilities. Maintain awareness of Salesforce platform releases, Service Cloud capabilities, Einstein-enabled features, governor limits, security model changes, and DevSecOps practices that can improve service outcomes. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. 4+ years of software engineering experience designing, building, testing, and supporting enterprise applications, platforms, or CRM solutions. 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience across Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, or comparable Salesforce CRM capabilities. Experience developing Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning technologies, Flows, platform automation, Salesforce data model, and Salesforce APIs. Understanding of Salesforce security model and principles, including profiles, permission sets, sharing, roles, field-level security, authentication concepts, and data access controls. Experience designing or supporting integrations using REST, SOAP, Bulk APIs, event-based patterns, middleware, ETL/ELT, or enterprise integration platforms. Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery teams, including story estimation, backlog refinement, PI/sprint planning, demos, testing, release readiness, and production support handoff. Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into clear technical options, design tradeoffs, implementation plans, risks, assumptions, and support considerations. Experience using or enabling AI-assisted engineering or productivity tools within the software development lifecycle. Strong collaboration, communication, analytical thinking, problem solving, stakeholder management, and distributed-team partnership skills. Preferred Qualifications Salesforce Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, Salesforce Administrator, Service Cloud Consultant, or comparable Salesforce certification. Experience developing with Aura, Flows, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce data model, platform automation, and Salesforce APIs. Experience with Salesforce Einstein-enabled capabilities, CRM Analytics, Salesforce Connect, external objects, managed packages, Agentforce, or other AI-assisted Salesforce capabilities. Experience with AutoRabit, Copado, Azure DevOps, Git, SFDX, Jenkins, Code Builder, or comparable Salesforce release and DevOps tooling. Working knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD, source control, Salesforce deployment tooling, automated testing, secure coding, monitoring, and production support practices. Experience with Service Cloud, case management, queue/assignment logic, service productivity workflows, Book of Business concepts, or sales-service collaboration patterns.Experience with Seismic, Data Hub integrations, underwriting, pricing, MetIQ, workflow orchestration, analytics, or other enterprise data and content platforms. Experience in insurance, group benefits, broker/customer relationship management, commercial service operations, or enterprise CRM transformation. Experience with mobile Salesforce considerations, accessibility, performance tuning, governor-limit optimization, data migration, or production support standards. SAFe for Teams, SAFe Scrum Master, MuleSoft, Azure, DevSecOps, or integration architecture certification. Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office. The expected salary range for this position is $104,900 - $154,950. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
