About the role
We are seeking a Senior Sales & Marketing Manager to lead sales and business development efforts for our Liquid Coatings facility in New Britain, CT. Key responsibilities include leading customer engagement strategies, developing new business opportunities, and driving cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Leads customer engagement strategies and cultivates senior-level relationships to influence future business opportunities.
- Identifies and develops new business opportunities, measures market share, and implements specific actions in underperforming regions.
- Expands market share with existing and new accounts, implements sales policies, marketing communication programs, and action plans to improve sales and earnings.
- Works directly with the facility to facilitate quoting and pricing, drives cross-functional collaboration across engineering, programs operations, and finance to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives.
- Supports the North East region (CT and surrounding states), interfaces with customers, and ensures alignment with regional goals.
Requirements
- Experience with sales and business development selling services, particularly in defense or commercial aerospace industries.
- In-depth knowledge of liquid coatings products and services, including technical specifications and applications.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a technical or engineering environment, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, understanding of production and job shop environments, and ability to travel 30-50% (primarily in the local area).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in sales and business development, preferably in a technical or engineering environment.
- Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Pay
$145,000 - $160,000 + bonus
