Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of progressive sales experience in hospitality or related industries preferred.
Skills: Demonstrates exceptional telephone and consultative selling skills with a deep understanding of complex sales processes and strategies. Strong knowledge of hotel operations and Marriott Lodging products, cultures, and brand strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Proven experience collaborating with professional associations, trade groups, and industry councils to build networks, drive business development, and represent the brand at conferences and events. Comprehensive understanding of food trends, menu planning, and F&B operations to support client needs and enhance revenue opportunities. Skilled in negotiating and managing contractual agreements with awareness of legal implications and compliance standards. Exceptional ability to cultivate long-term client relationships, influence decision-makers, and leverage association partnerships for growth. Effective in making strategic decisions under pressure and resolving complex challenges with innovative solutions. Advanced negotiation capabilities to secure high-value deals and partnerships. Strong verbal and written communication skills, adept at delivering impactful presentations to executives and association boards. Expertise in CRM tools and hotel systems, including SFA and CI/TY, with proficiency in standard software applications for data-driven sales management.
