Senior Roofing Project Estimator

About the role

The Senior Project Estimator (SPE) will be the primary contact in the entire estimating process on content and scope of each estimate produced, while also helping manage processes with Project Estimators on the team.

Responsibilities

• Field observations and inspections
• Onscreen estimating
• Proposal writing
• Detail review
• Client interactions
• Change order management
• Association involvement (on committees within associations)
• Contract scope verification
• Client relationship and overall project engagement from start to finish
• Coordinating and leading client education and client meetings

Qualifications

• Must have a specific understanding of construction process for new construction and remedial projects within the scope of work (codes, wind uplift pressures, thermal and moisture intrusion, materials, and methods, etc.)
• If applicant does not have a four-year degree, they must have a minimum of ten (10) years construction experience with at least five (5) years of estimating experience

• Estimating software proficiency
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• English speaking
• Bilingual preferred
• Ability to interpret, understand and train others on construction documents
• Understand specific construction items (as listed in Job Description)
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Problem solving and dispute resolution skills
• Strong work ethic/self-starter
• Advanced negotiation and relationship building skills (has current client base)
• Career ambition to move up within Chamberlin
• Strong time management skills (able to help manage employees and projects)

Requirements

• Must meet all requirements of PE-II
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to climb scaffolding, stairs, ladders (standing, stooping, bending, lifting, etc.)
• Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience
