About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensures our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Responsibilities

  • Join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.
  • Collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
  • Experience close collaboration with external partners, contractors, and enterprise customers to bring robotics into production.
  • Support the design, deployment, and management of advanced robotic systems at scale enabling AWS to scale our data center builds efficiently.
  • Deploy robots into production and ship production code and common software practices.
  • Intermittent travel will be necessary and should be expected to be approximately 30% to AWS offices, data centers, suppliers, vendors, and product validation tests. While most travel will be domestic, some international travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities
  • Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities
  • Experience with vision language actuation models
  • Experience deploying robots into production
  • Experience shipping production code and common software practices.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance
  • Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
  • Knowledge of sensor data analytics, and machine learning (e.g. neural net, genAI training)

Base salary range for this position is listed below. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

  • USA, CA, Santa Clara - 157,300.00 - 212,800.00 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Austin - 136,600.00 - 184,800.00 USD annually
  • USA, VA, Arlington - 136,600.00 - 184,800.00 USD annually
  • USA, VA, Herndon - 136,600.00 - 184,800.00 USD annually
  • USA, WA, Seattle - 136,600.00 - 184,800.00 USD annually

Schedule

Intermittent travel will be necessary and should be expected to be approximately 30% to AWS offices, data centers, suppliers, vendors, and product validation tests. While most travel will be domestic, some international travel may be required.
