As a Senior Roadway Project Manager, you'll join a collaborative team focused on delivering complex roadway and highway infrastructure projects across North Carolina while helping clients solve their most critical transportation challenges. In this role, you'll lead multidisciplinary project teams, drive project delivery, and build trusted relationships with transportation clients throughout the state. You'll be responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and profitability while supporting business development efforts, mentoring team members, and contributing to the continued growth of Jacobs' transportation practice in North Carolina. What You'll Do Lead the planning, design, and delivery of roadway and highway infrastructure projects from concept through constructionManage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and financial performanceCoordinate multidisciplinary teams and resources to successfully deliver project objectivesDevelop project work plans, staffing strategies, fee estimates, and schedulesOversee project delivery to ensure compliance with NCDOT, local agency, and AASHTO standardsManage subconsultants and support technical quality throughout project development and plan productionBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project partnersSupport business development activities, including opportunity tracking, proposal development, interviews, and presentationsMentor and support the professional growth of team membersCollaborate with internal teams to advance Jacobs' transportation services across North CarolinaPromote a culture of inclusion, innovation, sustainability, and client service Here's what you'll need Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited universityRegistered Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina or ability to obtain North Carolina licensure within six monthsSignificant experience managing transportation infrastructure projectsExperience tracking project invoicing, including billable hours, expenses, and project milestonesProven experience working with NCDOT, municipal agencies, counties, MPOs/RPOs, and other transportation clientsWillingness to travel occasionally throughout North Carolina for project-related meetings and client engagements Ideally, you'll also have 12+ years of experience managing transportation infrastructure projectsEstablished client relationships with NCDOT and local transportation agencies across North CarolinaExperience leading project delivery and client engagement activitiesStrong proposal development and technical writing skillsExcellent communication, analytical, and organizational skillsTechnical knowledge of highway and roadway design, including horizontal and vertical geometrics, drainage, utilities, traffic signals, signing, lighting, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, and specificationsStrong understanding of AASHTO and NCDOT design standards and their applicationExperience performing quality control throughout all phases of design and plan productionExperience with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, and other roadway design softwareActive involvement in professional organizations such as ASCE, ACEC, ITE, or North Carolina transportation industry associations Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
