Senior Risk Manager

About the Role
The Senior Risk Manager will deliver a broad range of risk management activities for Beazley’s US and Bermuda entities, covering both operational and insurance/financial risks. Responsibilities include producing risk reports and analysis (such as Beazley’s US and Bermuda ORSAs), providing review and challenge of first-line processes, performing deep-dive reviews on specific risk areas, and supporting the risk team in delivering the wider risk management framework. This role is ideal for an ERM professional with experience in operational or insurance/financial risks, preferably within specialty insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide challenge of first-line processes for Beazley’s US and Bermuda entities across operational and insurance/financial risks, including regulatory, underwriting, actuarial, market, credit, claims, finance, procurement, and IT risks.
- Produce risk reporting and opinions, including deep-dive reviews on key risks, hot topics, and risk incidents influencing Beazley’s risk profile, to support internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) for Beazley’s US and Bermuda entities.
- Support the development of the wider risk management framework.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with first-line members to support Beazley’s risk management framework.
- Collaborate closely with the Global Risk team.

Requirements
- University degree (professional qualification advantageous).
- Experience working as an ERM professional across operational or insurance/financial risks (or both), preferably within specialty insurance.
- Experience providing challenge across areas such as operational risk within Finance, Insurance, IT, and wider Operations teams.
- Experience in providing risk challenge to the first line and producing/presenting risk analysis to internal and external stakeholders.
- Interest in gaining a deeper understanding of insurance and financial risk management in the Lloyd’s/London Market.

Pay
Salary for this role will be tailored to the successful individual’s location and experience, with an expected compensation range of $200,000–$215,000 per year plus a discretionary annual bonus.
