Senior Risk Associate, Upmarket & Discover Card - Card Risk(Hybrid)

Responsibilities

• Directly support vertical risk managers and accountable executives for the Upmarket and Discover Card business segments.
• Execute critical risk management activities both with and independent of the vertical risk manager.
• Coincide, influence, and negotiate priorities with teams to ensure well managed goals/timelines are met; escalate when appropriate.
• Establish strong interaction models and relationships to collaborate and consult with key stakeholders.
• Collect data and information and use analytics and reporting to develop risk transparency to senior leadership and executives.
• Develop strong business acumen to appropriately represent the business to 2nd and 3rd line of defense partners.
• Develop and maintain formal process documentation including procedures, playbooks, and process flow diagrams that demonstrate the well managed infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification.
• At least 1 year of experience in financial services, project or process management, or combination.
• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in project or process management preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in risk management preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in presentation or communication preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in change management preferred.
