Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company delivering responsive launch services, complete spacecraft design and manufacturing, payloads, satellite components, and more – all with the goal of opening access to space. The rockets and satellites we build and launch enable scientific exploration, Earth observation, climate-change mitigation, national security, and new technology demonstrations. Our Electron rocket is the second most frequently launched U.S. rocket annually and has delivered over 230 satellites to orbit. We are also developing Neutron, a medium-lift, reusable launch vehicle for larger constellation deployment.

  • Experience accounting for ITU constraints (e.g., PFD limits, DSN protection).
  • End-to-end experience developing and delivering multiple RF systems, from requirements assessment to mission support.
  • Detailed knowledge of satellite operations, RF licensing, and ground station networks.
  • U.S. citizenship (required due to program requirements).
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing TS/SCI clearance.
  • Extensive experience in space-grade system design.
  • Experience with analyses such as worst-case, reliability, FMECA, thermal, and derating.
  • Experience supporting and leading complex engineering programs and documentation.
  • Experience designing, integrating, and testing RF communications systems for launch vehicles or satellites.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mentoring others.
  • Experience leading incident management and investigations.
  • Strong conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Project management experience.

Work Environment
