The Role

The Senior Revenue Cycle Consultant leads the end-to-end revenue cycle driving billing accuracy, cash collections, and financial performance across Managed Care, Medi-Cal, CalAIM, Veterans Affairs (VA), and other payer programs. This role partners closely with Finance, Operations, Business Intelligence, IT, and payer partners to optimize revenue cycle operations, implement scalable process improvements, and develop a high-performing team while ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient reimbursement processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including authorizations, billing, EDI submission, payment posting, accounts receivable, collections, denial management, and revenue reconciliation across Community Supports programs.
  • Improve revenue integrity by reducing denials, increasing clean claim performance, strengthening billing controls, and ensuring compliance with payer requirements and reimbursement guidelines.
  • Develop and monitor revenue cycle dashboards and key performance indicators, using data and analytics to improve cash collections, reduce aging receivables, and drive operational decision-making.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Business Intelligence, IT, and payer partners to resolve billing issues, implement system enhancements, automate workflows, and support new payer implementations and acquisitions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Revenue Cycle team while establishing standardized processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive healthcare revenue cycle leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare billing, claims management, collections, denial management, payment posting, accounts receivable, and payer reimbursement processes.
  • Experience supporting Medicaid, Managed Care, CalAIM, waiver programs, or value-based reimbursement models, with demonstrated success improving revenue cycle performance.
  • Experience leading teams, developing operational reporting and KPIs, and partnering cross-functionally to improve financial and operational outcomes.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Waystar, NetSuite, Power BI, healthcare clearinghouses, workflow automation, acquisitions, or multi-entity healthcare organizations preferred.
