Job Duties
- Serves as a liaison between clinical leadership and revenue cycle leadership to troubleshoot issues and collaborate on improvements.
- Manages revenue cycle performance in 11 clinical departments.
- Validates different data sources, creates reports requested by the clinical departments or leadership, and distributes data appropriately.
- Creates new workflows to solve issues identified through data analysis or by department leadership and engages necessary staff for implementation.
- Holds regular meetings with the departments to highlight financial impacts, ensure goal achievement, and inform of revenue cycle changes.
- Analyzes departmental data (charges, payments, bad debt, denials, and refunds) to identify potential issues and report on them and ideas for improvement.
- Alerts medical directors of financial risks, tracks and monitors department financial goals, and assists in investigating discrepancies in the revenue cycle.
- Utilizes data analysis to perform clinical workflow and process improvement, providing actionable information to clinical leadership, faculty, and staff to achieve FGP care delivery and business goals.
- Supports clinical administrators in their daily functions by providing resources and assistance in areas such as coding, billing, insurance verification, accounts receivable management, contracting, credentialing, and UHC wRVU productivity management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Health Administration or MBA, or an equivalent degree (currently enrolled in said degree program).
- Three to five years of healthcare revenue cycle, healthcare project management, or healthcare clinical operations experience, with clinic-based revenue cycle responsibilities.
