About the Role

Evaluates revenue cycle performance operations independently. Ensures appropriate reimbursement of professional and technical services, serving as a liaison between clinic departments and the revenue cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a liaison between clinical departments and revenue cycle, collaborating to solve problems using critical thinking skills.
  • Applies project management and leadership skills to facilitate problem-solving and account management.
  • Prepares and presents data, trends, and KPIs to physicians and administrators.
  • Demonstrates generalist revenue cycle experience (patient registration, billing, collections, provider enrollment, contract management, etc.).
  • Understands financial statements.
  • Designs, plans, and implements billing procedures and systems for new services to ensure effective billing operations.
  • Manages performance of the billing function concerning established operating standards.
  • Facilitates necessary training and oversight to ensure competency in billing compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Engages in continuous process improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality and cost-efficient billing and collection operations.
  • Collaborates with various areas in the finance department to achieve optimal workflows supporting operations.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Revenue Cycle (Advanced): Knowledge of the financial process to track patient care from registration and scheduling to the final payment of a balance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in the revenue cycle.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Experience working in EPIC preferred.
